EXTENDED OPENING FOR VACCINATION CLINIC THIS WEEKEND

Primary Care Sheffield’s covid vaccination clinic at Darnall Primary Care Centre in Sheffield will be open longer this weekend, 25 – 28 June.

In a bid to vaccinate as many people as possible, the vaccination clinic based at Darnall Primary Care Centre, 290 Main Road, Darnall S9 4QH, is extending the hours for bookable and walk-in appointments this weekend.

The clinic will be open on the following dates and times:

  • Friday 25 June – 18:30-21:30
  • Saturday 26 June – 08:00-20:00
  • Sunday 27 June – 08:00-20:00
  • Monday 28 June – 18:30- 21:00

Appointments are bookable via www.nhs.uk/coronavirus-vaccination or by calling 119. Alternatively, you can walk-in and wait, no appointment necessary.

The clinic is open to all Sheffield residents aged 18 and over for first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine.

Dr Nadeem Petkar, GP and Clinical Director at Primary Care Sheffield who are organising the clinics at Darnall Primary Care Centre, said: “We are pleased to be able to offer even more opportunities for people across Sheffield to take up the covid vaccination. Our clinic in Darnall Primary Care Centre is open to all adults aged 18 or over across the city at these extended hours this weekend, as well as the usual opening times of 7pm to 9pm weekdays and 9am to 4.30pm at weekends. ”

Alun Windle, Chief Nurse and Covid Vaccination Lead at NHS Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “The walk-in clinic at Darnall has been extended to give people more flexible options on when to have their vaccination. To end the pandemic and get our lives fully back, we need as many as possible to be vaccinated with both doses. Get booked in or come along to the walk-in clinic this weekend.”

Transport links to Darnall Primary Care Centre are good via car and road. If you’re travelling by car, Darnall Primary Care Centre isn’t far from the Sheffield Parkway and has onsite parking. The number 52 and 52a bus from Sheffield Town Centre stops directly outside Darnall Primary Care Centre and takes around 15 minutes to and from town.
